EMC Named Winner of Big “I” Best Practices Award
DES MOINES, Iowa, May 14, 2019—EMC Insurance Companies was again presented with the Best Practices Award of Excellence by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) at the 2019 Legislative Conference. EMC was one of seven companies in the nation to receive this award, which recognizes imaginative, outstanding and unique contributions in advocating Best Practices philosophies that enhance the independent agency system.
For the fourth consecutive year, EMC was recognized for encouraging field representatives to engage in meaningful conversations about best practices. The award further recognizes EMC for its commitment to helping field representatives understand key industry challenges—such as slow growth, an aging workforce and disruption—and how to work through them. EMC also included best practices information in podcasts, agent-facing newsletters and marketing communications.
“EMC understands that independent agents bring tremendous value to the insurance process,” says EMC Agency Development Manager Jessica Hendricks. “By continuously advocating for the Big ‘I’ Best Practices program, we support agents as they deepen their knowledge of clients’ businesses, assess the risks and then recommend the right coverages.”
EMC President and CEO Bruce Kelley accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
