EMC Named Title Sponsor of DAM to DSM

DES MOINES, Iowa (March 12, 2019)—EMC Insurance Companies is the title sponsor of DAM to DSM, which replaces Dam to Dam, the popular race that ended with its 39^th annual event in 2018. DAM to DSM will continue the tradition of running 20 kilometers from the Saylorville Dam to downtown Des Moines on the first Saturday following Memorial Day.

"EMC wants to help this running tradition continue in an exciting, meaningful way," Executive Vice President - Finance & Strategy Scott Jean said. "We look forward to seeing how this event continues to inspire and engage our community."

The event, produced by Des Moines-based RipRoar Events, is expected to attract a large following of runners from around the state in its inaugural year.

Zimmerman says the main priority of the event is to celebrate all participants: the die-hards, the first-timers and the weekend warriors.
