Loss Control Team
The following is a list of services provided by EMC branch office representatives and home office consultants and engineers.
Branch Office Representatives:
- First loss control contact with policyholders
- Discuss policyholder’s overall loss control program
- Comprehensive survey of operations
- Review hazards associated with coverage placed with EMC
- Provide recommendations to control unsafe acts and conditions
Home Office Consultants and Engineers:
- Fire protection engineering and consulting services for policyholders and branch offices
- Facilities planning services for policyholders
- Security consultation services for policyholders
- Loss control and management consulting services for safety dividend groups including public schools, builders and contractors, manufactured housing association, municipalities and counties.
- Employee exposure monitoring for policyholders to evaluate air quality, chemical hazards and noise.
Experience and education of EMC’s loss control team:
- Continuing education: Ergonomics, machine guarding, OSHA (industry and construction), crane safety, sprinkler systems, life safety, confined space, ADA accessibility, performance-based fire protection, fire alarms, facilities planning and security management.
- Education: Industrial, civil, manufacturing and construction engineering, industrial hygiene, science, ergonomics, business administration, occupational safety, safety engineering, industrial technology.
- Certifications: CSP, ASP, CPCU, EIT, CPP and IHT
- Membership: ASSE, System Safety, ASIS, NFPA, AIHA, ASHRAE, IIE and SF
