Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays
Team members are eligible for PTO the first day of hire and is based on hours worked and years of employment. Paid Holidays EMC observes are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving day and the day after, and two days at Christmas.
Volunteer Time Off
EMC offers eligible team members one day of paid time off per calendar year to volunteer with a United Way supported organization.
EMC believes in making the communities in which we live and work better places. The headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, has a Volunteer Committee that arranges activities throughout the year—from warm clothing drives to Habitat for Humanity work days. Our branch offices across the country contribute to their local communities in similar ways.
All Home Office and branch locations offer team members the chance to participate in company and local events. Events include team member appreciation, sporting events, performing arts and discounts to local attractions.
EMC provides team members a benefit reimbursement program for expenses associated with the adoption of a child. To be eligible, the team member must have at least one year of continuous, full-time or part-time regular service.
Military Differential Pay
EMC provides military differential pay for those on military leave.
