Agency Download Setup Information
Use the following instructions to initially set up your agency management system for download. If your download information changes at a later date, complete only the steps that are applicable.
- To view transactions that EMC downloads for your agency management system, refer to the Agency Download Reference Guide.
- Complete the
EMC Download Information Sheet (Form #0018-E)
. Refer questions to EMC Agency & Internet Help (i.e., Help Desk) at 877-249-0581.
- NOTE: If paperless download (of personal lines policies) is indicated, the Help Desk will confirm the policy download is working to your satisfaction before discontinuing paper copies.
- Forward the completed form to the Help Desk via fax at 515-345-2295.
- NOTE: Upon receipt of the form, the Help Desk will notify your EMC branch office that download is being initiated or changed.
- Your agency’s download contact person will be called to confirm receipt of the form. During the call, the Help Desk will review the download setup process and collect additional information, if needed.
- Your agency management system may require download setup information (from the list below)
to be entered.
- NOTE: Contact your agency management system vendor for assistance, if necessary.
- If your agency management system vendor recommends that you provide a
customer ID file to EMC, email it to
Agency.Internet.Help@EMCIns.com.
- NOTE: EMC deletes the customer ID file after processing is complete.
- When your download setup is complete, contact the Help Desk at 877-249-0581 to begin receiving download.

Policy Number Format - Use the first seven digits of the policy number with no spaces or dashes. This will help the download to “match” on policy number. Matching criteria varies by Agency Management system, but common ones are: policy number, customer ID, policy period, and company.
