Real Time
Real time is the ability to click on a button from a client file in your
agency management system or comparative rater for immediate access to carrier
information on that client. EMC partners with various agency management
and comparative rating system providers to help our agents take advantage
of real time. Agents using real time reduce duplicate entry, improve customer
service response time, compete more effectively in the marketplace and take
advantage of the agency’s existing tools. EMC currently offers the following
real time capabilities:
- Policy, billing and claims inquiries for personal and commercial
lines
- Endorsements for personal lines
- Loss run inquiry for commercial lines
- First notice of loss
- Rating
- Carrier sign-on
EMC agents can
login to learn more about the real time functions available.
Download
Download enables the round trip of data back into the agency management
system following a real time transaction. Commercial and personal policy
download, claims and first notice of loss memos download, and direct bill
statement download update your agency management system with the latest
information. Download allows your agency to save time and money by eliminating
duplicate entry, improving client file accuracy and taking advantage of
the tools available.

Real Time/Download Campaign
EMC Insurance Companies is proud to support the Real Time/Download Campaign
in cooperation with independent agencies and brokers, carriers, technology
providers, user groups, and agent industry associations. The campaign is
dedicated to improving the competitiveness of the independent agency distribution
channel through the promotion and education of real time and download.
Industry Advocacy
EMC is an active participant on the
Agents Council for Technology (ACT)
and the
ACORD-User
Groups Information Exchange (AUGIE). Working with independent agents,
carriers, vendors and industry associations, EMC assists in resolving agency
technology issues and implementing industry change.
In addition, EMC actively supports vendor system users’ groups through
sponsorships and event participation. EMC is a Silver Partner of the Applied
Systems’ Client Network (ASCnet) and
the Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU),
supporting agents around the country in utilizing the most efficient workflows
available.
