What are the system requirements for using EMC’s online training?
To view EMC’s online training you must have the Flash Player installed on your computer (version 6.0.79 or later). Download it for free at http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash.

Minimum operating system requirements:

Windows 98 or later OR
Mac OS 9.x or later

EMC’s online training can be viewed with various browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla Firefox. For a full list of browsers: http://www.articulate.com/support/help/presenter/v5/content/System_requirements.htm

What score is required to pass a quiz?
Students must score 100% on a quiz to earn a passing grade. They can retake the quiz as many times as they would like.

When I open a module, I get this message: “Would you like to resume your presentation where you left off?” Why?
This message generally means that you or another user has already viewed all or part of the training module. If you would like to start at the beginning of the module, simply click “no.” You can also navigate the module using the menu on the left side of the screen.

Can I use online training with a large group without registering them each as students?
Absolutely. From our online training landing page, just click the “Get Started” button under Individual Online Training and enter your policy number. The training module can be shown to a group using a projector connected to a computer. You can then distribute paper copies of the quiz to check for understanding and to document that the training occurred.

How do I sign up for EMC’s Training Management System?
EMC commercial policyholders can easily sign up for the Training Management System. First, your organization must designate and register a primary administrator. Once registered, the primary administrator can start adding students and assigning training modules.

What should I do if I forget my user ID or password?
Students:
Contact your organization’s online training administrator. This is probably the same person who initially gave you the user ID and password. Your administrator can look up your user ID and password for you.
Administrators: If you forget your password, use the Forgot Your Password option next to the login fields. If you forget your username, contact EMC Online Assistance.

Why can my organization have only one primary administrator?
Our Training Management System is set up to operate with only one primary administrator. If you find that you would like to spread out the administrator responsibilities among several people, you can add subadministrators.

I am an administrator for my organization’s online training, but I would like to keep track of my own training. Is that possible?
Yes. Enter your own name using the Add Student function on the Students tab. You will then be issued a student user ID and password. You will be able to assign yourself training just like any other student on your list. Be sure to log in using the student Login button when you plan to complete your training assignments.

How long will EMC retain my organization’s training records in the Training Management System?
EMC will retain your organization’s training records as long as you remain an EMC commercial policyholder.
